Brian started in traditional jazz with Marty Egger's Blues Destroyers in the mid-1980's, and has since performed with local traditional jazz bands including San Francisco Feetwarmers, Black Diamond, Devil Mountain, and lately his own Campbell's Soup Jazz Band.
